Nothing will change as 2/3rds of the senate need to vote against him and most of the senate are republicans

BBInSleepsCounting · 19/12/2019 01:57

Nancy could not resist a smile.

PyongyangKipperbang · 19/12/2019 02:05

he wont be forced out no, but he wont be able to do anything in office with this hanging over him.

One would hope that he will listen to the advisors and resign, but knowing him he will spend the next .... however long..... using being president to achieve fuck all and shout at his opponents. So nothing will change then. Hmm

He already has changed things - ‘the Vindman ruling’ - i.e. only trusted ‘forever trumpers’ allowed to listen to calls, involved in briefings etc.

Unfortunately I see Trumo being re-elected and the US constitution being changed to suit him. I hope I’m wrong!

FreyaMountstuart · 19/12/2019 02:20

Trump not Trumo!

Ninjakittysmellz · 19/12/2019 04:16

Please could someone explain to me what this means? I’ve read the news articles but I am still no clearer Blush

ShippingNews · 19/12/2019 04:22

Stop kidding yourself. He has been accused of something - not convicted. And he won't be, since the impeachment has to be voted on by the Congress and that is ruled by Republicans. In the meantime it's "business as usual".

Shooturlocalmethdealer · 19/12/2019 04:42

Hate to but the Trump hating bubble here but being impeached means norhing.
It's actually made Trump more popular.
The Senate will not throw Trump out.
Trump will win 2020 and I'm so glad!

Bezalelle · 19/12/2019 07:52

That's mental ^

He's a massive bell end and a very dangerous man.

Instagrump · 19/12/2019 08:03

Rep congressmen have already stated that they will not be impartial during the trial no matter what is said or proven and will not vote against Trump. They've actually said that. In public. And meant it. Crazy.
So repugnants, sorry republicans won't vote against him even if all the evidence against him is clear and he won't be removed. To remove a shitty, law breaking President, you need two thirds to vote him guilty.

He's gonna declare himself a new king at some point and attempt to get rid of the voting system completely. Just watch.

GinnyLane · 19/12/2019 08:11

Ninja, I've sent you a PM (because it's a bit long-winded), with the basics I've used to discuss with friends and family - hope it helps.

Ninjakittysmellz · 19/12/2019 09:00

Thank you so much @GinnyLane, that was so kind of you - and it finally made sense to me so you are a miracle worker!

FloatingMonkeys · 19/12/2019 09:04

@GinnyLane I'm also confused by this. Is there any way you could send me a copy of that please? Thanks!

BigFatLiar · 19/12/2019 09:05

I think the problem with Trump is he's hated by the media and establishment but speaks to the grass roots Americans.

Its more than possible he'll get in again.

GinnyLane · 19/12/2019 09:18

Blush thanks Ninja, again, please don't assume 100% accuracy, I'm certainly no expert.

Monkey, no problem, I have sent you the same details.

Turolive · 19/12/2019 14:58

@Shooturlocalmethdealer
Of course you are, Duterte.

Fuck anyone who supports this man.

Muminabun · 19/12/2019 15:21

This will mean re election of trump in 2020. Those who voted for him are happy with what he has done. The media are left wing so pretty much hate him. Democrats are damaging their own party by chasing impeachment on what looks like very shaky ground. They don’t have the support of their whole party on this and have galvanised the republican vote for 2020. They were warned though.

This is exactly right. He has been doing some incredibly shady shit. But this will just embolden the Republicans more. They don't give a damn that he's insane, unstable, and an embarrassment to our country. They don't care that he puts kids in cages, wants to take women's rights away, and openly mocks people with disabilities. The economy is good, so they just don't care. Trump will be in another 4 years. It's so depressing.

Thank you for letting me rant. I'm so incredibly depressed by the seemingly smart people in my life who have fallen for this bs.
