Have you got a sore right shoulder?

Do you have a sore right shoulder? Do you use an iPhone?

Everyone I know has got a sore shoulder at the minute and I’m convinced mine gets worse with iPhone usage. Does anyone think the same? Or am I just getting old and achey

I have an iPhone (very old model though) and no specific shoulder pain. More likely to be from the angle the arm is held at when constantly looking at a phone rather than from the phone itself

Interesting! I assumed I slept wierdly.

I've an iPhone and a sore left hip. My shoulder is fine though.

I do have an iPhone and shoulder pain but I’m convinced mine is caused by poor posture with carrying and bf my lo’s. Youngest is almost 7yo and is still carried regularly (sn), so I’ve very small opportunity for trying to make it better.

CoraPirbright · 18/12/2019 19:09

Yes! Sore right shoulder! That’s an interesting idea. I assumed it was to do with my whopping & heavy handbag!!

YeOldeTrout · 18/12/2019 20:32

I don't have an iphone and BOTH of my shoulders have chronic pain :).
Barely use my phone, actually.

TheClausSeason · 18/12/2019 20:33

Nope, but neither do I have an iPhone.

SuperMeerkat · 18/12/2019 20:46

My right shoulder is always sore. Interesting suggestion about the iPhone use 🤔

Panpastels · 18/12/2019 20:48

Yes but I think mine is related to using the mouse at work. When I was off for a month it got better!

BlueSwathesChoose · 18/12/2019 21:01

sore left shoulder. But about an hour ago a tin of Baxters asparagus soup launched itself out of the cupboard in some sort of existential rage and banged me very very hard. I have a lump and everything.

OverByYer · 18/12/2019 21:05

Yes. Had to have a sports massage as muscles so tight I couldn’t lift my arm. Mine is from computer/ mouse use and not railing enough breaks from computer work

lolaflores · 18/12/2019 21:05

My right shoulder pain was explained by trapped nerves due to neck disc thingy sort of situation which I blame some of on carrying really heavy school bag ages 7 up. I had pain in it from my teens. I am now in my 50s
Have had other back issues too.
The pain was there before the phone and age has probably exacerbated it.

Lalallama · 18/12/2019 21:20

I gave a sore right shoulder but I don't have an iPhone. Also I'm left handed so can't put it down to mouse usage or bag carrying either.

Elbeagle · 18/12/2019 21:21

I have an iPhone but no sore shoulder.
Sore left hip though.

dappledsunshine · 18/12/2019 21:21

Yes I do but that's because I have a sore left back so keep carrying all my bags on my right shoulder 😂

OverByYer · 18/12/2019 21:25

Good exercise from my physio.
Find a door frame , hold right arm up at shoulder height with elbow bent so arm is like a 90’ angle.
Press arm into door frame with body facing forward. Gently lunge forward on right leg.
As you lunge slowly turn the head to the left.
Should open up the chest and neck muscles

Frlrlrubert · 18/12/2019 21:27

Yes, but it goes away in the holidays so I think it's mostly writing on the board that does it.

(Though I do play one game on my phone where I use my index finger a lot and that does make it worse)

EvaHarknessRose · 18/12/2019 21:49

Spending too much time on my Huawei and have a sore right shoulder. Think it's too big to hold and type comfortably in one hand.

shitpark · 18/12/2019 22:00

i have a sore left shoulder, and have my MacBook on my left side on the sofa in the evenings dealing with emails, and surfing.

Frustratedmummy79 · 18/12/2019 22:11

More likely due to right handedness being more common than left. Dominant Right hand and arm gets used more for all activities and is therefore more prone to wear and tear and pain
