I've just agreed to go to Bongos Bingo with some friends. I've no idea what actually happens though and Google isn't much help. Has anyone been before?

It’s really fun but very messy. I’ve always had fun. Depends what you like on a night out. Lots of cheese music.

BlackCatsRule88 · 18/12/2019 18:22

It’s very crazy and loud! Which one are you going to?

KenAdams · 18/12/2019 18:26

Leicester.

I do like a bit of cheese. Didn't realise it would be messy Confused won't dress up then!

One of the best nights out I've had for a long time. Be prepared for cheesy music, dancing on seats, glow sticks and plenty of raving!

BlackCatsRule88 · 18/12/2019 19:01

It does get quite messy. The presenter gets everyone hyped up and he’s funny, you’ll be encouraged to get up on the benches to dance and sing along at loads of points throughout, there’s crazy prizes, and it’s just really entertaining! Have a couple of drinks to warm up before hand and make sure you’re “up” for fun. I imagine if you’re not in the right mood it would be horrendous!

SingingSands · 18/12/2019 19:08

Be prepared for an epic hangover.

Murraygoldberg · 18/12/2019 19:10

It is hilarious, you will really enjoy yourself, good like in winning the Henry hoover!

heartsonacake · 18/12/2019 20:12

Is it any good if you don’t drink?

I love bingo, cheesey music, dancing etc.. but I wouldn’t want to go if you’re basically encouraged to down shots or drink all night.

HelloDoris · 18/12/2019 20:14

I've been and didn't drink, I found it a bit much and should've had a few to ease the pain. However its bloody loud and mad, be prepared to wear coco pops and dance on the chairs!

MissCalamity · 18/12/2019 20:36

I went to the Leeds one with 2 mates in August, like you I really didn't know what to expect. Forget playing any kind of Bingo, I lost track after a few games, my friend got alcohol spilt all over her's & couldn't use it.

Songs were played randomly in the middle of the number calling, it was the normal to get up on the benches, so don't wear heels unless you're very steady on your feet!

It was a really fun night & we all paid the price the next day , however I definitely couldn't do it every weekend or be sober!

BlackCatsRule88 · 18/12/2019 20:48

You’re not encouraged to drink as such, but it’s a lively atmosphere where everyone (pretty much) Is drinking. I suppose it depends how you feel in that kind of situation.

KenAdams · 18/12/2019 20:53

Sounds right up my street actually! As you say, not for every week but it sounds fun as a one off.

BlackCatsRule88 Thanks Smile I think I’ll give it a miss. It sounds like it would be the perfect night if no alcohol were involved!

But I can’t stand being around out of control drunk people so 🤷‍♀️

Bingo rave. It's an epic night and I love it. I've been a few times and it's the best night out I've ever had. Everyone joins in and it's so much fun. Have fun
