I've always been a bit (lightheartedly) sneery about musical theatre being too 'over-dramatic' (rolling my eyes at myself here), but DP dragged me to watch a show a couple of months ago, and I'm now completely obsessed!

Go back to the classics: Chicago and Cabaret are marvellous for stonking tunes with barbed wit. Especially We Both Reached For the Gun from Chicago and Mein Herr and 'If You Could See Her (The Gorilla Song)' from Cabaret.

I was always a fan of musicals but Hamilton has taken them to another level imo; Satisfied/My Shot

Oh God yes, Gee Officer Krupke is a stone-cold classic.

Cabaret - can really belt out "when I go, I'm going like Elsie!"

There are so many great songs to choose.

Chess has a great soundtrack that I think is often overlooked.
