Does anyone recognise these books?

This is going to be quite vague, but back in the 90’s, I read a series 4 books about 4 sisters. Each book was named after 1 of the sisters and that book particularly focused on that sister. I think they were set in the 1920’s - 1940’s but i’m not completely sure.

I have no idea of the author or even the titles. I’ve googled them many times over the years and never found them, probably because my description is so vague! Do they sound familiar to anyone?

It's not the sisters of the Quantock Hills series is it? The author is Ruth Elwyn Harris. The books aren't named after the sisters, but each one focuses on the point of view of one sister. The first book is 'The Silent Shore'. They start before WWI and finish during WWII. I read them as a teenager in the 90s and really loved them.

I was thinking of one but it’s not set in that era. The sisters series by Marilyn Kaye, Phoebe, Daphne, Cassie and Lydia.

@rosie55
Thank you so much! I’ve just googled Ruth Elwin Harris and it’s these books! Seems like they were republished at some point titled after each sister. Now off to buy them on amazon as an early Christmas present to myself. :-)
