Ive been on a few dates with a guy, its going well and now he's invited me round for a traditional italian meal that he will be making from scratch.
His family are from the french italian border and i would like to bring a gift... wine or food.
Id love to get him something authentic.
Please help.

You can't go wrong with a Barolo wine from Piedmont region! Maybe have a look at the Sous Chef website for some ideas, they have delicious things like candied strawberries in syrup.
I'm sure someone more knowledgable than me will be along soon to help you! Wine Wine

Oh great! It's always good to shop face to face and get some personal advice, they might give you some little tasters too!

I’d go for an Amerone wine over Barolo

NemophilistRebel · 19/12/2019 14:05

Barolo still be very lovely of course.

AdaColeman · 19/12/2019 14:55

Amerone is lovely, but is from the Valpolicello area of the Veneto, while the OP wanted something from the area bordering Italy/France.

Amarone This iPad isn't as clever as it thinks it is! Crown Wink
