I work in a secondary school. My job is pretty vital in the running of the day and I know I do it well.
I've had a pretty shit year personally and do my best to keep it out of the office. School is my sanctuary. It's away from real life, which has been my saviour.
Most people know what I've been through, but today I've had a taste of just how much people think of me I think!
I've had so many gifts! So many that I won't need to buy any wine or fizz or chocolates and even port for the festive period!
It's warmed my heart, (which is completely broken) to know that despite the pressure all my teaching colleagues are under, despite the demands that they make of me sometimes at very short notice and despite me thinking they don't know me at all, they all bloody do and they are grateful for the work I do. I am so chuffed. I really didn't know I meant that much to so many of them!
I almost, almost, have a little bit of festive cheer going on!
Happy Christmas to you all!
