Meal for Boxing Day

We are doing the meal on Boxing Day. Would prefer to do something that can be prepped as much as possible beforehand. MIL doesn't like fish or curry, DD is coeliac. I am generally nervous cooking in someone else's kitchen

Have previously done Thai turkey meatball soup, meatballs in tomato sauce , lasagne (pre coeliac diagnosis) and a lamb stew.

Does anyone have any failsafe fabulous ideas?

Thank you

Thanks Issy - we are having cold meats etc on 27th. Big family - we bunker down for the Christmas break and 27 is the date people leave so that's a help yourself affair. 26 is sit down meal

This feeds 8, and is usually what I’d cook if I want to prepare something at home but transport somewhere else. All you’d need to do is bung it in the oven. www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/748650/onepot-chicken-and-bacon-stew

This is also a winner and could be prepared before www.delicious.com.au/recipes/ham-hock-pork-belly-pie/2eca78e3-be94-45ba-b750-f3cd97792e73 and this is along similar lines realfood.tesco.com/recipes/chicken-bacon-and-leek-cottage-pie.html

Mine will consist of leftover chicken, ham, salads, bubble & squeak and pickles - my favourite meal of the year.

You can do a lasagne still, even with coeliacs - use GF flour (M&S is awesome), and gluten free lasagne sheets - again M&S are fantastic. Either Beef or Chicken.

How about the Mary Berry beef recipe that she made last night for the programme with Kate and William. You'd just need to use GF flour.
