Making a sofa bed (more) comfortable

I’ve just bought a click clack sofa bed from Made for a spare room/study. It looks nice but is v hard to lie on. What can I get to make it more comfy for guests? Someone suggested a mattress topper but I don’t know what they are.

I used a memory foam topper on mine-from Dunelm but widely available elsewhere.

We've got that gel foam one from Dunelm on that link above and it is a vast improvement.
