Watching iplayer in bed, got up to pee and nearly fainted walking to the loo . Very dizzy and felt myself blacking out . Managed to sit down . HR was 130 . I’m on long term mirtazapine and also taking half dose dihydrocodeine just now for pelvic pain . Also a bit dehydrated . Is it likely just that combination that’s caused it or should I worry? It took ten or twenty seconds for the dizziness ; wasn’t instant iyswim .

It's often down to a drop in blood pressure. If you have other health concerns, or are worried, you should speak to your GP though.

Also, was the raised HR just temporary?

Yes, it’s gone back down to mid 80s now . I’ve been told I’ve had low BP before when in hospital, nurses said it drops quite low middle of the night and sometimes as a reaction to opiates as well .

Has the mirtzapine has any side effects? My AD medication gives me swooning type dizziness but sometimes it can be longer - as if I am going to faint or be sick

Yeah online says it can cause low BP, dizziness, sleepiness . I’ve been it on since May or June so hoped I’d be used to it but guess it could be reacting to the other stuff too !
