Im in a panic as my blood test came back positive for antibodies. I am now 13 weeks pregnant. Been given no other information just told to wait. Has anyone else had this? And what was the hospitals next step?

What sort of antibodies? Is it to do with being Rhesus negative or something else?

I would try not to panic Flowers

They will monitor you closely and take the necessary precautions. I don't have experience of this but understand it must be a worry Flowers

Also in terms of what happens now, I believe they will just need to monitor baby a bit more and make sure that their blood flow in the womb looks normal. It sounds like even if the baby does develop a rhesus disease, be majority are mild and treatable with, for example, phototherapy.

The NHS has some detailed information about it, but I would definitely speak to your midwife for advice and reassurance first thing tomorrow.

Thank you guys. My midwife has said not to worry could be something of nothing but she also said it could be that our bloods are incompatible which could mean my body starts to ‘attack’ babies red blood cells. Think the word attack was what got me upset! Yes they said they might take bloods alot more often. Its just the unknown thats scary. My two previous pregnancies were absolutely fine so its a worry hearing thisConfused.
