He was awesome in Torchwood.

He also plays Malcolm Merlin on Arrow as a villain. Excellent acting and totally unlike the Jack Harkness most people know him for.

Wasn't he also in Dr Who? Loved him in that.

He is one of the nicest down to earth people you could ever hope to meet. Totally unpretentious in real life and a genuinely decent person. A relative of mine is his next door neighbour in Wales.

I have met him when he popped over for a couple of hours and he didn't hog the conversation like you would expect a celebrity to do but just quietly listened and chatted.

He's lovely, very entertaining and also well known

I actually love him. I'm surprised by the comments about "don't you know who I am"? He doesn't strike me as the type. I'm still not put off though 💓😁

I love him, he is very funny and warm. He can definitely sing, but not Christmas songs it seems.

I volunteer with someone who is a massive John Barrowman fan. On Monday she was playing his new Christmas cd in the shop.

I have seen him live in concert and he can definitely sing. Met him briefly at a party. I know someone who worked with him until recently and he is very career driven, family oriented (takes his Scottish parents around the world with him whenever they want to travel) and he LOVES his dogs. He commands the room, but is very warm and seems to get a real kick out of life.

I don't care if his hands are too jazzy, he's just so larger-than-life and entertaining. I think he's lovely.

Ive seen him in concert twice it is a hoot a camptastic night out i see him in Scotland so he brings out his scottish accent his mum and dad and there is usually a row of cousins , but he was horrific on this morning I have no idea why he was so bad.

Last concert his mum sang the whole place was sobbing

Perhaps he had technical problems this morning with the mic in his ear because can really sing.
I think the world could do with more jazz hands and more camp.

Radio 5 had a phone in about Gay marriage - there were several anti callers.

Next this caller phoned in and broke down every single on of their arguments. Callers name was given as Tim or Tom or something.

It was only at the end that he said he was actually John Barrowman (at that point I recognised his voice) and he didn't want to say it was him as the arguments were as valid whether it was him or John next door.
