Anyone up?

Ds2 has pretty much been up since 2am. He's nearly two and now an exhausted, crying wreck.

He wont be cuddled or comforted. Wont let me lie next to his cot. I'm currently sat on his bedroom floor. He's laying at my feet screaming.

Calpol and nurofen haven't touched it.

I'm voting molars but what the hell.... I do remember ds1 was like this with his molars also

Oh no poor you - how about a change of scenery and putting on some peppa pig which will hopefully give you a chance to snooze?

HalyardHitch · 16/12/2019 05:34

I've just come down, put bing on and given him a biscuit. I'm just going to mainline the coffee now Grin I'm really rubbish at getting back to sleep anyway. He's exhausted

DS2 woke me at 5:10 to start the day (which isn't unusual for him). Ditch the fasting and have the biscuit, you deserve it!

I always had anbusol on hand whilst mind were teething. Maybe grab some today just so you know you can have a more peaceful night later.

feliciabirthgiver · 16/12/2019 05:39

Yes definitely have a biscuit you are going to need the energy today and just switch your fast day for later in the week. Hopefully you both get to nap later.

HalyardHitch · 16/12/2019 05:55

I've just looked for the anbusol but can't find it. I do have some somewhere. Good idea. Thankyou.

I'm desperately trying to drop some weight but apparently sleep deprivation works against that and makes it harder. I'm so far avoiding the temptation of the biscuit. I've only lost 12lbs since may which is painfully slow and annoying im rubbish at actually sticking with the diet

12 lbs? Good for you!!

JoyceDivision · 16/12/2019 06:01

I have the day off work. I usually get up a at 4:45am to be at work before 6am and thoroughly enjoyed turning the alarm off last night.

I woke at 5am. Am deliberately staying in bed until 7am to enjoy not having to get up and shower and dress like a silent ninja.

TheClausSeason · 16/12/2019 06:02

I too advise biscuits. Plural. Sugar and caffeine are your friends when sleep derived.

HalyardHitch · 16/12/2019 06:18

Ooh @JoyceDivision definitely stay in bed till 7! Enjoy!!

I have about another stone to lose. My BMI is overweight. I'm looking forward to just feeling better again. The boys are nearly 2 and nearly 3 so it'll be good to lose the baby weight
