Enhanced DBS check worry

Hi everyone,

This is my first post on this forum - I am so worried, I'll be glad if anyone could help me out

  • I am applying for my second degree in radiography however there's an issue holding me back. Last year I had a heated argument with my Mum (simply due to her talking about my personal intimate life to my Grandma although I had told her not to several times..) and although there was no violence I broke 2 glasses - the neighbor called the police due to the noise and they came knocking on our door and separated us and asked us some questions (on their devices - maybe it was a risk assessment) They asked my sister and Dad whether any violence was involved and they said no it was just a family argument - the police were slightly concerned about the glass

Now I did ask him whether this was a warning or caution, he said it is nothing, it will be logged for their own sake (if it happens again they'll know what to do etc)

I am wondering whether this will come up as soft intelligence report on my enhanced DBS check - I already know they have logged it but whether it will come up or another worries me :(

Any pcs around?

Thank you in advance :(

@gingergittable

I have said many times I acknowledge that it was a serious mistake - we have all done things that we’re not proud of in life and my intention was not to hurt my own Mum (and she did not get hurt) I love her dearly and this was a one off incident. I stupidly lost my temper in the heat of the moment and during the argument

@Starshine909 you won't be able to work out whether or not the report about you will be included, or, if it is, what those who see it will make of it by trying to compare it to a report about someone else in different circumstances. I say that as you'd be wasting time and energy by trying to do so.
All you can do is wait. If the report appears on the DBS, the college will probably ask you about it. My understanding is that they'd be unwise to reject you on the basis of that alone, so that's why they'd be better off at least enquiring rather than making decisions based on that report.
If they do ask you, explain to them. That's really all you can do.
