Any fudge-making experts around ?

At the beating stage of making fudge for Christmas presents.
I have a jar of 'luxury' mincemeat, can I just stir some in before pouring into the tray? Similarly, I have some nic dark chocolate chips, can I stir those in? (Not together!)

Youve probably made the fudge and dont need an answer but yes, to both! Just make sure the fudge has cooled slightly before adding in extra ingredients. I've just made mint chocolate fudge and I'm really looking forward to eating it
