What’s your favourite Diptyque candle?

Hi, I’m looking to buy a candle for a friend and would really like to know everyone’s favourite scents. Looking for something calm and relaxing as it’s for her massage studio.

Many thanks!

You don't want Diptyque for a massage studio if it's a room smaller than about 20 by 20 feet (which I assume it is) as they're too strong and she'd have to blow it out during a session

I know this because I have one for my therapy room and I had to blow it out Grin

It's LOVELY in my much larger living room - the one I have is number 34

I recommend a Neom one instead (scent to sleep tranquility is my favourite)

@LaurieFairyCake Thanks, that’s really helpful and you’ve saved me a wad of cash! I will check out Neom instead...

I love Baies. I don’t find it very strong.

I think single wick would be fine, Baies is also my fave. Or Ambre.

Alternatively they have a really fancy plug in diffuser that would be amazing. It's pricey though,.. but it gently diffuses on and off so it's not too overwhelming. I have one and love love it.

Baies every time, I give little ones as gifts for people who've had me to stay and the recipients have always been delighted.

GirlRaisedInTheSouth · 15/12/2019 05:41

What does Baies smell like?

I would have to disagree over Neom, I have a triple wick Happiness candle and it’s very very strong (although that could be because it’s a triple) lovely though.

Baies smells like summer to me.

getyourgrooveback · 15/12/2019 06:53

Like roses and berries

Oyedo is my favourite diptyque for small spaces - I believe it’s the lightest scent among the candles. It’s fairly bright, mostly citrus with Yuzu but not too zingy for a relaxing massage.

marvellousnightforamooncup · 15/12/2019 08:25

Narcisse is my favourite. It smells like as dewy garden in Spring.

LaurieFairyCake · 15/12/2019 08:35

Yes, whatever you buy - buy a single wick. I should have said that the Neom triple wick one is also very strong.

plunkplunkfizz · 15/12/2019 08:57

A small 70g single wick is fine in a small space.

Baies, I don't find it too strong

Do you get Glasshouse in the UK? If so they have one called Arabian Nights which is white Oud and it is such a lovely smell and would work well in a smaller room. They do small candles too.

GirlRaisedInTheSouth · 15/12/2019 11:37

I love the smell of oud! Will look out for that one. Thanks.

I love the Citronella candle. Supposed to be used for deterring flies, but it is the best lemon smell ever, keep getting wafts of it long after I have blown it out!
