How to treat a cut head?

I'm having a great day... poorly with a horrible virus, pouring snot and shivering, and this evening I dropped the butter tub, bent down to pick it up with the fridge door open and came up under the door.

I saw stars! Then realised my head was bleeding quite a bit. I'm alone tonight..dh at a sports do, kids at work (nurses) so I clamped some kitchen roll to my head..and that's as far as I have got.

The bleeding has stopped now but it bled for quite a while and I have a matted lump of bloody hair ..can't see it but can feel it.

Should I DO anything to it? Try and clean it, or just leave it to dry and not touch my hair tomorrow?! I don't think it needs stitches or anything as it has stopped now.
I havea stonking headache but tbh I feel so rough anyway I can't tell if it's the virus or the head wound.

Leave it - you'll be fine. Might bleed a bit when you next wash your hair but will soon stop but be gentle.

If it was anywhere but your head you wouldn't be worrying - sore yes but not worrying. Doing any real damage from cracking your head against a cupboard/fridge door is almost impossible - and you would know if you had.

But ouch ouch ouch that must have hurt and you have my sympathy
