Meeting Neighbours

I’m moving into a new house in a few days, it’s a new build estate so everyone will be new.

What’s the best way to introduce myself to my new neighbours? I’m quite shy so struggle to talk to new people but I’d love to get on well with my new neighbours.

If you're mega shy/ don't want to make a big deal of it I'd just send a little Christmas card with your name/ house number.

Xmas card, knock on doors say hello and introduce yourself. Best/easiest to do soon after you move in. If you are lucky they will come to you. My neighbours knocked to me when i moved, i then knocked on next new neighbours when they moved in.

Following for ideas. I have new neighbours moving in next to me in the new year. Had a cold and distant relationship with current neighbours so hoping to have a warmer relationship with new ones.

Not sure what the done-thing is with new neighbours. I fear I won't find the right balance of friendly but not overwhelming and make myself look like an idiot
