Can you re-freeze frozen meat once you've cooked it?

So I froze some mince 2 weeks ago. I want to defrost it and make a shepherds pie or meatballs then freeze meals for over Christmas. Can I do this?

Yes! Do not refreeze advice is more about the change in texture it possible contamination if poorly defrosted. Big companies trying to avoid being sued.

Food Standards advice is to defrost in cool environment, fridge!

It has always been ok to defrost raw ingredients, cook and refreeze. Better animal welfare, food standards and fridge freezers had dramatically reduced issues in refreezing
