Just wondered, as I'm hoping to get mine up this afternoon Xmas Smile.

Ours is going up tomorrow.

I'm glad to find some others who haven't yet got their tree up. Neighbours directly opposite had theirs up on 1st December and Facebook, family, friends were nearly all the first week in December.

This feels like the right time for us. I'm usually itching to take it down by NYE.

Bought ours today.

I would never trust DH with this job. I make them show me about 6 til I am satisfied: not lop sided, not scrawny, good long bit at the top for the fairy, good even branches under that, well spaced branches all the way down etc. DH would come back with any old specimen. And he would err on the side of not big enough, to save money.

its DD,s birthday tomorrow and her and her younger brother will do ours I hope anyway , I may shed a tear or 2 as their older brother is not here to grump about and help a bit

Our went up today too! It generally goes up on the first weekend of the 'teens' days in December and comes down before I start the Spring term at work. The little traditions we've developed over the last few years of living together make me happy, and I used it as an excuse to move some crap Mr Twiglet was 'storing' in the living room... :)

@ChangingStates, we used to get potted ones and put them out in the garden for next year, but they'd end up so covered in cobwebs that I was always too scared to bring them indoors again!

Mine's up and twinkling away in the corner!

Knackered though now. Having beer. Nice, lovely beer.

We don't usually put ours up this early, but it's been so gloomy and we're having a bit of a crap year, so we did ours on Wednesday to try to cheer the place up a bit. We put the outside lights up today (freezing fingers !), so we're all set. Still not feeling it though ☹

That's beautiful, Flyingarcher. Not surprised it tired you out.

Ours has been done today . Pre-lit fake , I put on an extra 2 sets of lights (plain white on static) , no baubles because we have New Cats who I reckon would wreck anything too snazzy !

And now the tree is down. my female cat decided I was not to be called a liar and chewed the wires then decided to attack the bulbs ( male cat ignored the tree)

Safety of the lovely feline takes priority over sparkly Christmas Tree so we took it down while Corrie was on (she kept attacking it even though we kept lifting her away )

Oh, what a shame!

My tree has been up, undecorated, since yesterday. Despite being left unsupervised with it overnight, the cats haven't taken it down. I have added an extra layer of branches and will see how that goes - I might risk adding the lights today.
