Nibbles

I have 3 people coming around for nibbles tonight. Is this enough? Would you change or add anything.

  • different crackers.
  • 3 different cheeses.
  • nice bread to slice.
  • Turkey for sandwiches (incase anyone a bit more hungry).
  • salad bowl (mixed bean probably).
  • yule log and chocolates. Do I need cream?

I would add crisp type snacks and nuts if there are no allergies. Basically little things to pick at.

Also dips are a "nibbles" thing to me.

BHouse19 · 14/12/2019 11:36

Is there much else on your cheese board? Chutneys, grapes?

Perhaps you could also pick up some nice crisps, nuts etc

BHouse19 · 14/12/2019 11:37

Agree re the dips!

Lifeoverhaul · 14/12/2019 11:37

I think friend is bring chutney. Would that be enough for a 'dip'? I'll get some crisps or nuts.

Sorry. I know I sound really tight but I don't want to be left with loads of stuff I don't eat .

I would probably have some kind of pate or hummus in case there are non cheese eaters.

DoesntLeftoverTurkeySoupDragOn · 14/12/2019 16:02

I don't think Chutney is a dip.

It's not tight to not want loads of left overs though. :)

HeronLanyon · 14/12/2019 16:05

I would want grapes/satsumas and dips/hummus with cheese crisps crackers.
Have fun op. What you have sounds good.

babyonway2020 · 14/12/2019 16:09

I would defo get a tube of Pringles or plain crisps. Don't worry about the nuts so much as they always get left I find.
Chutney will be for the cheese board and not really a dip as such. You can get a sour cream dip for 49p at Lidl and their own Pringles for 79p.

babyonway2020 · 14/12/2019 16:10

Btw turkey sandwiches are a festive winner and nice bread..... I'm actually hungry and need this! Enjoy 😉

Katinski · 14/12/2019 16:20

I'm having some friends over and I'm not offering turkey or ham or stuff for sanches but there will be mini sausage rolls, pate, cheeses, stuffed celery sticks, olives, both black and green, green grapes, crisps, crackers,
whatever I can find on the deli counter, really.
And cherry tomatoes.
And a tub of toothpicksGrin
Oh! and i'll put put out a dish of chutney, well Branson Pickle actually - cracker,Nice cheese, Branson = food of the Gods!

Cocktail sausages are hoovered up. Same for sausage rolls.

Most people just like tasty easy food. Add those to your menu and everyone will be delighted!
