Would this annoy you?

My partner has booked himself in for a non life threatening operation 4 days before Christmas, which is going to result in him being fairly laid up for a few days (we have young children) TIA

What's the operation and what are the implications of him not having it done asap?

Spied · 13/12/2019 20:57

Yes

managedmis · 13/12/2019 20:58

Yes, I'd be pissed

Wornout8 · 13/12/2019 21:01

I don't really want to go into detail regarding the op as I don't want to identify myself but it doesn't need to be done asap, isn't life threatening and doesn't cause him pain if it isn't done.

Does it mean he doesn't need to take time off work?

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 13/12/2019 21:09

Why does he want to do it now? Is it painful? Annoying? Does it mean he doesn't need to take time off next year?

dreichXmas · 13/12/2019 21:24

If this is an NHS operation and they have space to get it done then he should.

If he is paying and could choose another time then maybe not good timing although if you are all off and at home maybe not the worst.

OldEvilOwl · 14/12/2019 14:52

Depends what it's for really

TheNameGames · 14/12/2019 14:57

Is it really that much of a unique operation that it will “out” you? Hard to really say without knowing what it is.

Jupiters · 14/12/2019 15:08

If depends what it's for. If it's medical and viaNHS I think you'd have to take whatever date was offered. If it's cosmetic then I wouldn't be impressed with him.
