Has anyone bought anything from this website? They've got a Groupon deal on that seems almost too good to be true. Minimal reviews. Anyone?

Have you got a link? I've not heard of them but will have a look

CremeDeSudo · 13/12/2019 17:15

www.rosesandcushions.com/

Here you go!

Their plant prices are absolutely extortionate, so I hope it's a very good deal you've got your eye on!

cornstarch · 13/12/2019 17:22

It does seem quite pricey for what they sell, but the website isn't ringing any danger bells to me.

CremeDeSudo · 13/12/2019 17:52

The deal is £4 for a voucher for 50% off?

I think I'm more worried about whether they'd be any good when they turn up?

They seem to be at least twice the price of comparable products available elsewhere.
And the SPAG on the site is rather shite.

Will0wtree · 13/12/2019 19:08

A lot of the cushions look remarkably like the ones you can buy in B&M for about £8. And the plants aren;'t rare/special ones, so maybe around £5 in a supermarket/Wilkinsons. You'd be better off not using the deal and just buying them from somewhere else, you'd still get them way cheaper that the deal.

SilverySurfer · 13/12/2019 22:53

The plant prices are extortionate. I agree, you could buy in Wilko for under £10. I wouldn't buy three macaroons or cupcakes or doughnuts for £9.50 either.

CremeDeSudo · 14/12/2019 07:24

Right, thanks all! Glad I asked 😊

Yes, looks like inexpensive stuff marketed at inflated prices.

Like another poster said - Homebargains/ B&M stuff.
Go there instead OP!

Elodie2019 · 14/12/2019 07:41

Also, why is every product got 'The' before it?

The little cupcake
The Thornton's delight
The three macaroons
The 100 roses

CremeDeSudo · 14/12/2019 08:06

It's more the flowers/bouquets! Just had a quick google and bouquets are comparable?

Make sure you don't inadvertently sign up to their subscription service.

Just bought a flower bunch using Groupon for a Xmas present! Customer service seems to be pretty good so far. Shall let you know when my mum gets the flowers. They do seem a bit on the pricey end but with the voucher I guess it worked out standard price

Asb12345 · 17/12/2019 23:37

I bought some using a groupon ticket too - birthday present for my mum - she liked the quality of the flowers - worked out cheaper than most other florist I have used so far. Customer service was very good even available at 2am as I forgot to put a message on my card!

Suepisces · 19/12/2019 20:01

I bought these for my mother age 84
Absolute disgrace
Nothing like the picture
Arrived in a tatty box no bow and all over the box as the box too big .
Beheaded roses and dead leaf
Dying droopy flowers
When I challenged the company they accused me of being a scammer looking for free flowers and that they would let my mother know the flowers were free because I didn't want to pay for them
My mother was so embarrassed by the state of them she didn't text or contact to say delivered.
So my brother took pictures that same afternoon when he called in and they accused us of sending false pictures when it was clear they were in the house in a vase
So please don't buy a Groupon deal for this awful company
I've emailed groupon to make them aware
In my mother's words a £5 bunch of roses from a supermarket would be better than this so called balloon bouquet
