Poor Tesco delivery driver

I had a delivery last night and the driver brought it into the kitchen for me, lifting each box onto the counter to unload. Lovely man, very chatty and couldn't do more to help.

Last box was the heaviest with flour and cat food amongst other bits. He bent down to heave it up and must have a done a massive fart of the 'silent but deadly' variety. The stench was appalling but he was bright red in the face and so embarrassed I tried to ignore it but couldn't help gagging a bit. I chatted to him outside the door for a couple of minutes but as he left he muttered 'I'm so sorry...'

What are your stories about being embarrassed on someone else's behalf?

When I worked in elderly care we had a very deaf lady who's son always came an hour after lunch... I'd accompany her to the common room where they liked to meet she'd pop away with every step and myself and her son always acted as if neither of us had heard BlushWink
