Mine, on the other hand, always votes for what her constituency would want rather than what the party whip commands her to do, that’s why I am voting labour today (and to avoid BJ win... if you are worried about brexiters, that’s the one you should worry about!)

IdiotInDisguise · 12/12/2019 07:16

Tactical voting is the way forward if you are voting against the conservatives

BarbaraStrozzi · 12/12/2019 07:21

Is it a Labour/Tory marginal or will she get in anyway, or do the LibDems stand a chance?

If the last of these, vote with your conscience and vote Lib Dem.

If the first, hold your nose and vote for her as s vote for the party in the hope of getting some sort of Labour/Libdem coalition with a second referendum as the price the LibDems extract for propping up Corbyn as PM (no matter what Swinson says, give her the faintest sniff at power and she'll be like a ferret up a drainpipe, just like Clegg).

If safe Labour, protest vote in whatever way will send the strongest message.

(I'm facing a rather different dilemma, but that's how I'd assess the situation if I were you.)

BeardedMum · 12/12/2019 07:28

Vote tactical to get the Tories out. Avoid UK crashing out of the EU.

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 12/12/2019 07:29

Tactical vote!

gothefcktosleep · 12/12/2019 07:32

I’m in a similar boat.

Constituency was remain in 2016. Conservative MP has just stepped down, they’ve parachuted in a very Brexity candidate.

Was going to vote Lib Dem (and my heart tells me to - well actually my heart would say Green) but tactical voting says to vote Labour - and I do think the new Labour candidate is a good one. Confused

DippyAvocado · 12/12/2019 07:32

I agree if it's marginal between Labour and Cons I would hold my nose and vote for her anyway - the Labour party at least have softer policieson Brexit than the Tories. In any situation other than a marginal I would vote LD if they stood a chance, or Green.

MustardScreams · 12/12/2019 07:34

Hold your nose and vote tactically. Just because they’re a brexiteer doesn’t mean they personally are going to get Brexit Done 🤮🤮🤮

fedup21 · 12/12/2019 07:35

Presumably if the Tory candidate gets in, they will ‘get Brexit done’ anyway Sad so if you want to stop that, you might as well vote Labour. It won’t be down to your one MP to decide single-handedly to leave without a referendum.

tiggertogger · 12/12/2019 07:46

Vote libdem if brexit is your biggest issue. People have to vote in the issues that matter to them personally.

BeardedMum · 12/12/2019 07:57

I would say if Brexit is your biggest issue then vote tactically to keep the Tories out. They are the main danger on the Brexit front.

Squigglypig2 · 12/12/2019 07:59

Vote lib dem, if she's that much of a brexiteer she'll vote with tories anyway.

SansaStarky · 12/12/2019 08:00

lib dem is dominant in my area but the mp is new so im not sure how popular he will be

BeeFarseer · 12/12/2019 08:00

Agree with all others that if Brexit is your issue, then you should vote tactically to keep the Tories out.

Yestermost · 12/12/2019 08:03

Are they less of a cunt than the Tory candidate on other issues? If so vote for the Labour candidate.

Treacletoots · 12/12/2019 08:04

Check the various tactical vote websites for advice on how best to keep the Boris out
