Rash / bruise like mark baby's mouth

For the past few weeks my 10 month old keeps getting this rash around his mouth on the left side that I thought was a dribble rash. Pharmacist said to just keep it moisturised and could be from the cold. The rash faded but keeps coming back as a purple, blue bruise like mark, it looks like he has landed on his face and bruised it but he hasn't. It looks worse at certain times of the day. I was going to book doctors appointment but was worried about wasting their time. I've attached 2 photos, one of the rash how it started and the other of the left behind bruise like mark. Anybody know what it could be?

I have no idea but if it keeps coming back it is worth having it looked at. Book an appointment.

Yeah I will do. The pharmacist didn't seem concerned so it didn't worry me, but now it's playing on my mind.

My ds had a rash like that at about the same age. Turned out to be fungal rash (probably picked up from the soft play)they gave us a cream and within a week it was cleared up and never came back.

Iv had the same thing happen to my babies wer 2 lined gray lines near his belly and my other baby had the same colour as your sons face on her belly have u found out what itis

Could be mild impetigo.

Have you tried putting something like Sudocrem on it?
