Has anyone got rid of a skin tag themselves?

I occasionally get very small skin tags on my arms or chest but they usually disappear on their own very quickly.
About 6 months ago I noticed one in between my bum cheeks which is bigger than usual. It’s not huge but I’d like it gone but am much too embarrassed to go to the doctor. Is there anything I can do at home? I’ve tried giving it a twist and squeeze but that’s quite painful!

I get them on my neck and have them removed at a beauty salon, she zaps them and they dry up and fall off after a few days or so, cost about £20. They do bikini waxing there so probably not fussed about butts!

@RoxanneMonke I believe a skin tag is attached to the body by a 'stalk', moles are flat against the body. You'd not be able to remove a mole with a string or a band. There is nothing to tie off to restrict blood flow.

I have the magic freeze stuff but am too chicken to try !

I tried tag bands but they were too big, even the smallest size
I went to a salon and they froze it off easy in seconds
Wish I had gone sooner
I will be back to get rid of a mole

@Rosepetals30 what kind of salon did you go to? I’d much prefer that than trying to get cotton around it

Another vote for the Amazon band kit, it was so easy to use, I was way to much of a wuss to cut it off with scissors or clippers!

I have these teeny tiny ones on the side of my chest but they're annoying me as I know they're there. Is it safe to use nail clippers on them??
