The ways in which technology is irritating you today...

So far this morning I have discovered that my Samsung TV that is just 3 years old no longer supports BBC iplayer. Nothing I can do about this apparently (if the update doesn't work then I have to suck it up it seems!).
Also trying to book a train ticket, one website keeps bumping up the original price when I add a family and friends rail card. So price without railcard is £99. Add rail card, and it tells me price was £114, now down to £86.05 with the card. It is 1/3 off, and should be 1/3 off £99! Thanks trainline for that...
Switch to network rail, and their site won't even let me pick a return journey, and changing the price to £300 because of it.

Fuck you technology!

On the bright side, my phone allowed me to have this rant!

Pointless wireless controls such as on your kettle or your washing machine.

What is the point?!

My phone memory is "dangerously low" and I'm constantly having to clear the caches for it to function. Nearly at renewal date now.

Each bloody update fills it with more crap, especially some of the built in apps that I never use.

BlaueLagune · 10/12/2019 14:02

I have that with my tablet computer - completely full of useless apps I can't uninstall.

I don't like the way things jump about on websites, you're about to click on something and it moves at the last minute and you click the wrong thing.

And yes, websites that are badly designed. For example, the ones that make an entry in the "second line of the address" field compulsory, even when you don't have one to add.

Couldn't recall last two digits of work login. Had to get IT to reset. Now not going to overthink and let my fingers do the remembering next time! 😏
