I’m off on holiday with DH on a childfree week after Christmas and fully intend on doing nothing but read and sleep. However, it’s been a long time since I had the time to really have a look at what’s available on the book market and I want to ask for some books for Christmas. Thought I would ask for some ideas to help me get the ball rolling!
I like a fairly wide range of genres; historical fiction, fantasy, general contemporary literature and pop culture fiction too.
Recently I have read - The Body Bill Bryson, Blue Moon Lee Child, Magpie Murders by Anthony Horowitz, reread HDM Philip Pullman (cos of the show) and have listened to The Secret Barrister on audible. I also read a fair amount of “trash” in the form of Mills and Boon that my grandmother (!!) gives me.. mostly Georgian novels about ankle flashing and swooning women but I like the escapism.
So please!! Help me find my holiday reads
