Hello, I need some inspiration please! I need help with presents for:

  • 3 boys aged 11, 13, 15. Interested in sports, computer games and the usual. I was wondering about books as I feel I've done Lego to death and they are distant relations so I don't really know what they know or like. I had the new David Walliams book suggested for the 11 yo but don't know if he's a bit old for it? Also wondered about a Guinness Book of Records for one of them? Perhaps that's rubbish but I used to like it. Ideally £10 each.
  • Cousin and his wife in their sixties. They live near the coast so I was thinking some kind of nice coffee table book about the British Coast or the North Sea (I have book on the brain this year!). £20 budget.

Cash in a card for the boys..... Sorted.

As for cousin and wife, just say NO gifts, love you etc. Bet they will be delighted also not to have to reciprocate.

What's your budget? Boys love gadgets so you could go along those lines? Plus you don't really need to know what they're 'into'. M&S's gift section usually has some great gadgets or games that aren't too pricey, especially if you're buying for a distant relative.

Thanks. Cash just feels like a cop out and much as we're not close, I don't want to lose touch and do want to make an effort. I'll have a look in M&S. I know it's making a rod for my own back!

Decathlon do good gifts for the sporty boys including kites. Moon balls are fun.
