Lidl Lettuce

Just wondering if anyone had seen this before? Bought some lettuce from Lidl on Friday and went to feed the guinea pigs and noticed blue powder on it. It’s all through the layers on both heads. I’ve tweeted Lidl so waiting for their reply but I’m too impatient Grin so just wondering if anyone has seen this before / knows what it is?

Lidl vegetables are always dodgy, cheap but goes off really quick

Lettuce is not too good for Guinea pigs. Cabbage is much better. I buy all our veg at lidl as it's far better than our local Spanish supermarket or market. It lasts so much longer as well. Having said that a lot of Spanish veg is poor. They send the good stuff to the uk.

Copper fungicide.

Lettuce is terrible for all small pets! Can cause many problems.
Cabbage or spring greens are what you need.

Thank you @Perihelion. I'll have a google as Lidl have yet to respond.

I have never had an issue with the quality of any of Lidl's produce. My local farm shop however. But that's another topic.

I can assure PPs my guinea pigs are healthy old men and have a varied and appropriate diet. Romaine lettuce is fine in small quantities. Cabbage on the other hand should be fed rarely due to gas build up and bloat which my boys are prone to in their older years, same goes for spring greens.
