Where can we go?

Looking for somewhere 'Christmassy' to go as a family, 'children' are 10, 15, 20 so nothing Santa related!
Really fancied Blenheim but have left it too late for the illuminated walk, although can still get tickets for the Alice in Wonderland event in the house. Has anyone been to this?
Anywhere within an hour of the Midlands would be great, preferably on the weekend before Christmas. It's so rare to get all three of them together so would like to do something nice. They're not really into Christmas markets as such.
Any ideas/suggestions please?

If Cheshire isn't too far, have a look at Lightopia at Heaton Park in Manchester.

Waddesdon Manor does a similar light trail.
You won't see any of the Blenheim one from the house.

A Christmas film at the Electric Cinema in Birmingham - a beautiful old cinema with sofas, cocktails etc. Maybe combine it with street food at Digbeth Dining Club and a look around the museum and art gallery?
