Would you wait in?

Having a fridge delivered today supposedly between 7.55 and 11.55 by Curry’s and organised by our landlord. I was grateful of the time as I have a Christmas activity booked with friends this afternoon and need to leave by 12.30 latest.
Delivery driver called and left a voicemail at 8 saying they would be half an hour so 8.30
They’ve still not arrived and I’ve tried to call back the mobile they called me on several times and no one is answering. We have a very loud doorbell and 3 of us have been home all morning so no chance we’ve missed them.
I don’t want to ruin my afternoon waiting in but also don’t want to piss off our landlord if they turn up later today and there’s no one home.

Ahh perhaps I’ll just go then, it’s not like I’ve not tried to get in touch with them. Coincidentally my boyfriend had a fridge delivered by John Lewis on Friday and the service and delivery updates were great.

I would go after the agreed delivery slot if you have somewhere to be. They may not even come. They'll have to rearrange and turn up during the agreed slot next time.
