What chips do I want for my steak?

My Christmas lunch will be steak and chips.

What chips?
(Oven bake, no fryer here, and cba with homemade)

I've tried the McCain Gastro Chips and they were ok but not as earth shattering as I'd been led to believe.

At the opposite end of the scale, Lidl Curly Fries were quite yummy.

Any other recommendations please? I can get to all the supermarkets fairly easily.

Aldi now do beef dripping triple cooked chips- they are good!

I know you want easy, but my favourite thing with steak is fried potatoes. Pre-cook and slice some baked potatoes, then fry them in the pan you cooked the steak in whilst the steak rests on a warmed plate, only take a couple of minutes. We love just crumbling blue cheese on the steak and letting it melt in whilst the steak rests. Amazing!

@PrincessHoneysuckle

Yep, a quick blast in the micro and then into the oven. I have never cooked frozen chips from frozen for years now, they are always either undercooked or hard or something. My method works for me so why not give it a try!

You can come back and blame me later lol.

I think that you should have a 70's vibe to your Christmas dinner. Crinkle cut chips of course.
(Maybe a prawn cocktail to start and black forest gateau for pudding, all washed down with a glass or two of blue nun.)

Anyone remember Baked Alaska? Could never figure out how it worked, but it was yum anyway back in the day!
