Black tights and open toed black shoes?

I'm going to a meal in a fancy hotel for lunch and I've just realised I don't have any closed black shoes and want to wear black tights

Can I wear black tights and open toe
d shoes or will that be a big no no?

Charm8ed They won't have even noticed! Honestly. If you ask a friend (or the very critical posters on here) before you go out then yes they might've said maybe not, but once out no-one would be bothered. You will have looked good don't worry.

I read in two magazines that barely black tights are coming back in a big way. I used to wear them in the early 90! 😂

Holly’s tights were fishnet and looked awful (aside from the fact she couldn’t walk in the shoes). She looked amazing other than that.

@charm8ed for me it's not about the tights it's about the shoes. Open toe are for bare legs, so summer or a very long dress, nude tights, opaques, coloured or patterned all need closed toe shoes or boots IMO. I can't do barely black tights either although they are back on trend, it's too nineties for me and makes me feel old playing at teen fashion, it's ok for them they don't remember the last time!
