I like the second tree, but usually buy a real one, so might not be the best judge.

peachypetite · 07/12/2019 18:38

Not after a real one. Looking for a decent quality artificial that is pre-lit, 8 ft.

Stockingfiller1 · 07/12/2019 18:39

I prefer the shape of the first to be honest, the balsam hill one looks “too fake” iyswim

Upsidedownfrown · 07/12/2019 18:40

I like the 3rd one. The 1st ones branches look odd to me (but would probably be beautiful once decorated) and the 2nd one just doesn't look right for some reason. Not sure why though

cookielove · 07/12/2019 18:41

They all look the same Hmm

I too get a real tree so best fake is hard to work out for me.

The prices Shock

The 3rd one

Guys, it's really not helpful to come on and say you buy real. I don't want a real one. Not cheap but as I said, I want 8 ft, pre-lit, and would expect to have it for years to come, so cost per year really wouldn't be much.

NomDeQwerty · 07/12/2019 18:45

Definitely don't buy the first one. It looks weird.

BaubleTheLumpOfCoal · 07/12/2019 18:46

I really like the 2nd one OP

meow1989 · 07/12/2019 18:46

I dont think people are suggesting that you buy a real one, just stating that they do.

1st one I think is best

HappyGirl86 · 07/12/2019 18:46

I like the Grandview fir best. Although they are all lovely!

Bluntness100 · 07/12/2019 18:46

I have a balsam hill pre lit, honestly it's fab. I'd go for either of the last two. Mine is very full and so many lights on it, it's a haze of them and looks great,

NomDeQwerty · 07/12/2019 18:47

The second one is the best.

peachypetite · 07/12/2019 18:53

Bluntness, do you have a pic of your tree?

OP posts:
BabbleBee · 07/12/2019 18:57

I spent £115 on a fake tree in 2001 and it’s still going strong.... just make sure you’ve got space to store it once it’s down!

I prefer the second one. 1st and 3rd are too spikey.

Sandsnake · 07/12/2019 19:06

First for me. I like the fact that it’s a bit uneven. Though I’d be tempted by the second as would (perhaps wrongly) think that if the original price was that much then it would be good quality.

ByAllMeansMoveAtAGlacialPace · 07/12/2019 19:10

I wanted a BH tree but couldn't justify the price. Just bought one from we r Christmas (although not the same one as you linked above) and everyone has commented on how nice it is!

peachypetite · 07/12/2019 19:13

I'm really struggling to find 8ft, pre-lit.

ByAllMeansMoveAtAGlacialPace · 07/12/2019 19:15

Have you looked at the 7ft6 Thetford from B & Q. It's so impressive in the flesh

Pipandmum · 07/12/2019 19:22

First looks more natural, I'd go for that.

peachypetite · 07/12/2019 19:23

@ByAllMeansMoveAtAGlacialPace funnily enough I actually loved it when I saw people's photos, despite it being a little shorter than I want, however it's not available for delivery and isn't in stock anywhere near me!

LucaFritz · 07/12/2019 19:26

I like the 1st one best its better to buy a good quality artificial tree than it is to buy a single use tree every year that has to be cut down and sent to landfill by new year

ByAllMeansMoveAtAGlacialPace · 07/12/2019 19:26

Same! Here's my We R Christmas tree

Quick! Please help me decide which tree to buy
DookofBust · 07/12/2019 19:29

The first BH tree will be very different from the second BH tree - read about true needle tips, they are the most realistic of the BH trees and the second one doesn't have any unless I have read it incorrectly.

I have got two BH trees, the oldest one is ten years old and unlit with a mix of true needle tips and others. The newest one is all true needle tips (I don't think they did that ten years ago) and is lit.

I prefer the true needle tip tree but I am not keen on the lights tbh. I prefer these lights on the unlit tree.

So I would go for the tree with the true needle tips.

PixieDustt · 07/12/2019 19:34

I think for 8ft those prices are pretty cheap. I'd say second one.
