Would you send the teacher a message about this?

I’ve refused to take part in the class whip round for the teachers Xmas present. No reason other than I don’t buy presents for teachers at Xmas, but do send a card with a nice message in thanking them for their work.

The whip round has made more than £200 Shock and I feel like I should message and say why I didn’t contribute so she doesn’t think I have a problem with her!

Would you? Or would the card do and she probably won’t even notice?!

Nonsense. Just leave it. She won’t have a clue and care less, about who has given. Contacting her would come across as very self important and as if you’re trying to prove that the other parents are wrong.

She won't notice your absence from the whip round, she probably will appreciate the card. Just leave it.

She won’t care or give it a second thought

Except she now has to face a load of form filling as the gift exceeds £30 - just what she needs -

She won't notice or care.

I really wouldn't worry about it

Nobody will know who contributed what.

Bluerussian · 07/12/2019 18:01

Don't draw attention to the fact that you haven't contributed, why would you or anyone do that? She won't know, just leave it.

Aragog · 07/12/2019 18:02

I wouldn't.

She won't notice who has put in and not, and she wouldn't be put out even if she did know.

No, the card shows you don't have a problem with her. It would be strange to message her thr reason why.
