Anything I can give DD for her cold?

DD is 18 months old and the snottiest child I've ever laid eyes on Grin her nose is running like a tap and she's got a bad chesty cough.

Anyone got any tips of something I can do/buy from the pharmacy? Does the vicks on her feet work?

I was told by the HV to put a spoonful of vicks in a small bowl with boiling water obviously well out of reach. It stinks the room right out Xmas Grin

I put some Olbas oil on cotton wool pads that have been wet with water and the put them on the top of the radiator to allow the scent fill the room

The plug ins are great for helping them at night .

Calpol plug in's are really good, I also pop some olbas oil on a sanitary towel and stick it on the wall by cot ( but out of reach)

Vicks on the feet (with a pair of socks on over) really used to help my DD at bed time. You can also rub a bit on her back.

Great suggestions! Thank you all Smile
