Why don't you watch all the guides instead of launching in ?

minesagin37 · 07/12/2019 18:43

Op I've made a £1000 in a month. If you are deciding that you are packing it in because of one bet ...then..yes perhaps you should!

minesagin37 · 07/12/2019 18:45

@GroggyLegs ha ha absolutely!

Tbh I lost track of what you (might) have done.
You need to start this with small steps (even if you miss out on the big offers)
You must sign up with a good site like oddsmonkey or similar. (try the free version)
A lot of ppl made and continues to make a lot of money but as with any new skills it takes time to learn it.
As a first bet you might find to spend hours to get around just on the bookies website, at your hundreds bet, it will take two seconds and you can do with one hand, on your phone it while feeding a 2 years old 😂 (although not recommended)
Each way.. 😂 Forget it for a while. (you need to place 3 bets. One back two lay) similarly any accas. And overall leave the horses alone for the first few weeks.

Familiarise yourself with terminology. It's critical. You need to understand which calculator to use and when. Especially if you make a mistake (everyone does) you could ask for help but if you don't understand the basic language used, nobody can help remotely.

So! Back to the basics.

Overall it's a very simple mathematical game. Effectively you buy something to sell it for a small loss which then gives you a bit more if that something for free. That you can then sell on for profit.

If helps do the first few bets with someone.

Unless you do one back bet (the outcome will happen, x team or horse or whatever win) AND simultaneously a Lay bet (the outcome will not happen) you are not matched betting just gambling.

PS. If you have any tenancy to be drawned towards any kind of gambling, stop now. Matched bettors are not gamblers and in fact most are very risk averse. (I would lay man city against a 5th division team from Hungary 😂 just in case) but the bookies are clever and designed their whole operation to bring you in!!!
Good "luck"

I am interested in what research you did

I have looked at Youtube videos and read around different sites for at least a 3 months before I opened my first account

titchy · 07/12/2019 23:03

I don't think OP is interested in MBing!

I think she panicked she'd inadvertently starting doing it.

VeganCow · 08/12/2019 07:26

@minesagin37 you said you made over a grand in a month, can I ask how many hours total of your time it took to get this?

When I looked briefly into this a few years ago I was intrigued but put off at the start by people saying that bookies are onto this and it gets so hard after the first week or two to get any new free sign ups. Do you have to constantly create new gmail accounts to get the free betting offers?

heartsonacake · 08/12/2019 07:44

There’s no point in teaching the OP what matched betting actually is and how to do it; she clearly doesn’t understand and is not interested in understanding either.

All OP is doing is gambling.

minesagin37 · 08/12/2019 07:49

@VeganCow I work full time and do mainly casino now as it's easy to fit in. MB I just do at weekends. You get quicker the more you do. Casino has a higher variance though so you need to be mindful of that.

Oliversmumsarmy · 08/12/2019 11:24

As I have said I have just started and been doing research.

Had to put a treble on the other day and I am probably overly cautious and like to understand everything before I do it. (Complete opposite to op).

I keep looking at the casino offers but as yet not done sufficient research as it looks more complicated and I don’t like taking any risk.

Artepp · 09/12/2019 23:26

VeganCow if you don't mind me answering.Crown Wink
I am doing this for over 2 years and still going. (getting to 5 digit figure soon)

In the beginning it takes hours to make any return, mainly because you need to sign up to websites, but you can do several in one 2 hour sit. The return tends to be greater as well, because wellcome offers are better than ongoing offers. But still not more than a couple of hours a day.
Profit is much bigger in the begging, ranging between 500 to 1k a month. (or when big events are on.. Oh sweet football world cup) Later reduces to about 300 - 500 a months.
No need for new email accounts, just one and keep signing up for new offers, although I haven't signed up to any new accounts for months now, just using existing account offers.
Overall maybe 3 to 5 hours a week I spend on it, mostly on sat mornings.
Research? Need one good tutorial site. All will be answered there plus a good support of fellow mb peers who can answer any questions should I need help.

PS. I would be cautious to recommend it randomly to anyone just bc human error is a great factor and we never know who has gambling tendencies. As said before as long as you are shrude and would never imagine to spend money on chance events (like me) it's safe and gives a good "little" extra
