How do I set up email on iPhone XR?

Just got a new phone but I can’t figure out how to set up my email to come through the little app, any tips?
I’ll attach ss of what it looks like, just doesn’t seem to have any options for it.

Is it just me?

That's odd! Mine connected to my old iPhone when setting up so I never had to do this. Where it says something about an error and the word "details" is blue could you click on that and see what it says?

I think I've figured it out!! Go onto settings, search mail, an option with "accounts and passwords" comes up. That's where my email address is hiding and there's an option for me to delete the account so I'm guessing there should be one for you to create one?

I can’t figure out how to get past it.
