Help! Meringue fail!!

Pre cooked a pavlova case ready for a dinner party tomorrow. Cooking instructions said 1hr 10 mins at 140 then turn oven off and leave overnight. Followed this but on looking at it after it had been in oven about 2 hrs after turning off, it looks barely cooked so I've put oven back on and am giving it another half hr at slightly higher temp. Now am wondering whether I should be reheating it.. is that safe to do? Thanks

You don’t actually need to cook it, you need to dehydrate it (you can make meringues in an airing cupboard!). It will be fine, maybe a bit hard, but safe to eat.
