Terrible sore throat!

Hi all,

I've got a terrible sore throat!
It feels like I'm coughing up glass! 😖
I can't breathe through my nose cause it is so congested!
But breathing through my mouth is drying my throat out even more!

Is there any hidden miracle solutions out there any one has? (Grandmas old remedies?) anything?!

I've steamed my nose (which felt great for 5 mins) I've took paracetamol and ibruofen with some acti-fed (cold and flu tablets)

Raw garlic clove. Crush it up, swallow it on a teaspoon like it were medicine. Then water. Don't do it on an empty stomach. It's amazing...I had a sore throat with white lumps all over it and this instantly improved it.

Old remedies I use are honey, lemon juice and butter melted. Just take a spoon as needed. So soothing. Also I used to use mustard spread on newspaper and wrapped around neck then held with a scarf. Only do it for a few minutes as it does start to burn. Sage tea made with fresh leaves. Healthfood shop does great spray with marshmallow herb. Or just gargle with salt water. But I also agree difflam spray.

Tyrozets throat lozenges - have a local anaesthetic in them. They won’t cure it but may take the edge off the pain.
R Whites Lemonade ice lollies also seem to help.
Hope you feel better soon. Sounds so miserable for you, but it will pass and at least you’re getting it out of the way before Christmas.

Diflam.

But hated taking it as my gag reflex went into overdrive!🤢

Difflam or chloraseptic sprays are both good.

Gargling with soluble aspirin has helped me Smile

Tyrozets throat sweets. Oraldene mouthwash. (Teacher so these are required so I can keep my voice).

Otrivine spray for your nose - it reduces inflammation, you use it and think "well that's crap" until ten minutes later you realise you can breathe
Difflam for your throat
