Can someone explain how to use a kindle please!

I can see the book I want to read, I’m pretty sure my DH bought it last night for me but when I click on it it just says ‘queued’. Then if I click it again it says do I want to stop download.

I’m new to kindle and just had to message DH to ask how to get into the fecking thing

Queued means it's waiting to download, it doesn't normally take long though. Are you actually connected to internet? Are there lots of other things downloading? Have you left it alone whilst it says 'queued' to give it a chance to download.

Ah, thank you @Spam88 My internet is utter shite so that might be the problem. So will it just download itself if I leave it?

Connect it to the internet, leave the kindle switched on for a few minutes. It should be there.

Mine downloads really quickly once I have clicked on it. Like seconds.
If you have a cover on your kindle, make sure this is left open or it won't download.
It could just be that your internet is really slow.

Thank you all. I think it’s the shitty internet. It says it’s 55% downloaded now. I can’t move closer to the hub as trapped under a sleeping baby

You have your phone in your hand. Use it as a hotspot, connect your kindle, download your book :)
