“Gadget” for 7 year old

My seven year old has asked for a “gadget” for Christmas. I think he is thinking of spies and time travellers. Any suggestions on what I might get him? Thank you!

There’s a Spy X kit in Argos which is good.

My DS9 has always loved gadgets. He’s had/getting:
Digital coin counting money jar
Book light
Robotic hand making kit
Bath disco light
Metal detector
Outdoor adventure microscope

Ds7 (nearly 8) has really enjoyed his fitness tracker this year (Xiaomi Mi band 4). He has also saved up his pocket money and brought and echo show 5 on black Friday as he loves to check the weather and ask questions and play music. We also Bluetooth his bedtime audio books through it. He also has a bike odometer which shows speed / distance etc which he likes a lot.

Great suggestions, thank you. All I could think of was a Swiss Army knife 😯. I will check these out.

There's some pretty cool kids smartwatches around which have a camera, games etc. Some of them can be used for phone calls to contacts the parent adds and have a GPS tracker.

If he's into spies then invisible ink pen - one end writes invisibly, the other end has a UV torch which makes the writing show up.
Fingerprint kits
Torches which have pens, or buttons for signalling morse code, or that can project shapes on the wall.
Walkie talkies
