Tenerife to be precise.
Just got here last night
I’ve never had this before..even with 3 babies
Any Spanish mnetters can advise on what works.
Here for two weeks and of course as I’ve never had them before..I don’t have anything with me
I’d rather wait to see my own Gp...as it’s not life threatening..just bloomin painful
I’m hoping some of the good british stuff is sold here..or there’s even better Spanish stuff

I've had a quick google & I think Anusol (suppositries and/or cream) is the same name in Spanish.

Also found this picture of medicines which might help you.

www.granfarmaciaonline.es/en/medicines/hemorrhoids-medicines

Hope you get rid of them soon - v painful.

Sorry - think was meant to be in italics, not crossed through.

Ask for the ointment/cream plus the suppositories, use both.
Just put what you want to say in to google translate and show them. Most Spanish in resorts have pretty good English.

Generally the pharmacies are really good in the canaries. And they usually have better stuff.

I had a sinus infection on Monday and just popped in and got strong meds. Their English is always sufficient and they'll be able to help.

The price of meds over there are creeping up though.

'Farmacias' are better, much more professional and a hell of a lot cheaper in Spain.

Eg I get HRT, sleeping tablets, mild antibiotic, previously The Pill, all OTC without prescription.

They are extremely knowledgeable about it all. All speak English, it is a different level of qualification here I believe. I often don't bother with the doctor. Pharmacy is better in lots of cases, totally different set up to UK.

They'll help you with this like a shot and with no embarrassment and will be used to it. Good luck.

Go to an actual 'farmacia' though, not a 'parafarmacia' which is like in UK and not so able to give out medication.

Thank you..
I went to a farmacia and asked .. have you anything for Bertie bum boil... he looked a bit shocked .. so I showed him my phone .. haemorrhoides.. sorry I’d have to laugh or I’d cry
I’ve got ruscus Llorens pomade rectal and
Antihemorroidal cinfa

Not a bad little haul for £20 😱

I’m told one of them will shrink them.. I’m not sure which one now

Failing that dh has a sharp pen knife
Thank you lovely mnetters. I’ve not been offered anusol or suppositories... yet

I think there’s a few more farmacias on our way back to the apartment

Such an embarrassment.

Oh one farmacia offered me a herbal ointment. Now when it comes to natural stuff she’d come to the right place... but this is desperate time’s and I want it gone... preferably by tomorrow morning... I don’t want it gorging itself on horse chestnut and witch hazel for a month before slinking off to the place where bum boils go to die.
