First trimester and first time being pregnant at 26!

Hi all!
So I am 26 years old, and 6w pregnant with my first baby.
I am so obsessive! All I can think about is my little blob! Every twinge makes me Google, terrible knicker checker! And my partner thinks I have gone crazy because I brought more tests to reassure myself over the coming weeks, whilst making it to the safe zone!

I cannot wait to get my first scan and start the planning I have longed for!

How can I try and stay calm and get some headspace from my pregnancy? Feel like time is going so slow!

Thanks in advance 😊

Hi!
Same as you 26 and having first DC I’m due this week but at the beginning I was exactly the same as you.
There really isn’t a sure fire way to ease the anxiety until the 12 week scan - (I even was that bad my DP had to book a private scan) that eased my mind a little but it still never went away because you just want your little bean to be happy and healthy it’s natural instinct.
Just try and relax and look after yourself.. ps google is not your friend as it will make you think the worst if you have anything that’s even slightly worrying contact a health care professional.
Hope all goes well for you :)

Stay away from google!

Congratulations to you both.

Nearly 40 years ago when I was first time pregnant at 26 my GP told me that I was "quite old" to be having my first!!! Shock

How things have changed!

Thankyou everyone, it's reassuring to know I'm not crazy!
