Does your smart meter work?

I seem to be surrounded by people whose smart meters don't work, not all in the same geographic area. Am curious to see if it's unusual?

Our smart meter didn't work. It was awkward to read and understand. Dealing with Scottish Power was always a pain in the bum. Glad we moved.

No, never has. Been winking at us uselessly in the understairs cupboard for four years now. Got a booster and everything. Nada. Several changes of utility provider too. Hopeless.

I think when they work they do encourage people to conserve energy but they don't seem to consistently work. They're pushed so hard by the companies yet are they interested in them if they don't work?
