Bra washing question

I went to a bra fitting at an old-fashioned shop. The owner was very nice and spent a lot of time with me, but when I got home I realised the bra has an old-fashioned perfume smell to it. I think she must've been storing them in scented packaging. It's quite an unpleasant smell.

I've tried hand washing it once but the smell is still there. Should I risk putting it in the washing machine? I usually hand wash all my normal bras, but I've put underwired sports bras in the machine before with no problem. I don't want to cause a disaster but I don't know what else to do.

These are great, especially for larger sizes. Without a bag bras can get caught in the machine ( especially large underwires). It can twist the bra and wreck it or even bugger up the whole machine...

I don't like my bra shaped bags. I prefer the larger bags that you can fit more into

I've only ever ruined bras by putting them in the tumble dryer. I've washed them in the washing machine for years. Life is too short...

Poundshops often have net washing bags.
