Just took my 6 year old daughter for a hair cut. New town and a hairdresser we've never been too. They wanted to know her full name, address, birthdate and email address.
I felt like I was being awkward wanting to know why hey needed her personal details just to trim her hair. Apparently its for their database. So was I being an awkward dick for questioning it? In the end I gave a fake address, birthdate and email address.

I would t have given that info out either

LuluBellaBlue · 04/12/2019 15:58

Wouldn’t

It’s so they can bombard you with offers and pester you to rebook regularly. I’d go somewhere else.

I'm glad I gave for details then.
They knew they were fake too, unless they believe a 6 year old was born in 1990.

[possibly misses point of thread] I'm pretty sure they should not be keeping this info about you under the new data protection regs- even if you consented to giving them contact details for marketing, what is the purpose for them asking your DD's date of birth?

YANBU.

I won't be back. Not happy with the cut either. Hairdresser cut it to the length hey wanted, not the length DD wanted.
