1 positive pregnancy test & one negative

Hi, I'm new here and just looking for some advice. This morning I did a asda home pregnancy test and a faint line came up, then this afternoon I did a digital clear blue and it said not pregnant, not sure which to believe 🤷‍♀️ and which test do people reccomend to do in the morning?

Congratulations!

False negatives are far more common than false positives. Also, a (true) positive result is more likely to show up in the morning, when the urine is more concentrated.

I would be inclined to wait a few days and test again with a First Response Early Result. Clear Blue's are great but they require more HCG so it may just be too early.

Thankyou, I will wait, which will be very hard, i want to believe the positive but then I dont as I dont want to get my hopes up, I'm also 5 days late, so I would of thought if I'm 5 days late then the clear blue would pick enough hormone level up.

I'm pretty sure the Asda ones had some really bad press about false positives or evap lines.

A first response or superdrug own brands are supplosedly quite good.

It was last year. Knew I'd read something about it. You'd expect them to have rectified any issues by now but I'd get a pink dye in another brand to be sure.

Congratulations! Digital are less sensitive so don't show positive as early as the dye tests. Leave it a few days and test again 😊

I have done a early response this morning. And it was negative 😔 I will never be doing the asda own ones ever again!

Try first response.. More. Expensive but reliable.

Ashxrenz1 · 06/12/2019 10:55

Yes that's what it was a first response one, the 6 days before due period one.
